Occupational therapy helps with adjustment to motherhood, menstruation, perimenopause & menopause changes and issues, birth preparation & recovery, pelvic floor issues such as pain, leaking & prolapse or just general women's health concerns that interrupt your day.

OT is a holistic approach to women's health through every transition of change. OT focuses on not just the management of your symptoms but also getting you back doing and feeling like yourself again.

How much does it cost?

Do you have a clinic?

No. Currently visits are completed in the comfort of your own home.

You do not need to have anything special prepared for your visit just wear what is comfortable.

BUT....

Keep your eyes peeled for a clinic which will be opening in 2027!

$150 for a 50 minute initial assessment and includes email summary post visit with proposed ongoing care plan if required.

You may be eligible for Medicare or private health insurance rebates. Contact your health insurer to see if you are covered for OT.

Remember you can always request OT is added to your private health insurance plan and try your luck with a request to waive the waiting period.

Do you work with other women's health providers?

Yes! We can collaborate with GP's, women's health physiotherapists, dietitians, exercise physiologists, naturopaths and any other provider that is part of your team to ensure holistic and continuity of care.

No referral or diagnosis is required to book an appointment with me.

Any woman from adolescence to motherhood to menopause and everything in between can be seen.

No I do not complete internal assessments.

An OT session involves a thorough interview to discuss your symptoms and any impact on your ability to go to go about your day or what you may have stopped/avoid.

The session may also involve gentle exercise, breathing techniques, hands on mobilisation to external areas (with consent). All treatment is discussed and only completed when necessary and with consent.

Difficulty communicating the severity of your symptoms with providers

Leaking throughout your day (anything from a small amount to a large amount)

Difficulty adjusting to motherhood and it worries you

Waking up to go to the toilet 2+ times per night occasionally or frequently

Pelvic pain that disrupts your day & investigations haven't provided an answer

Inconsistent periods and experiencing sleep disturbance, hot flushes, brain fog and generally not feeling like yourself

Constipation that doesn't change regardless of fiber or water intake

Hormone Check

Pain with sexual activity/intercourse or when inserting tampons

Feeling pressure or heaviness/dragging in your vagina especially if you have been standing for long periods

Feel like you can't completely empty your bladder or bowel

If you checked 1 or more you may benefit from an assessment by a women's health provider.
